Underlayment is essential when installing Laminate Flooring. The underlayment has to be laid down over the sub-floor and once you are done with this you can lay your floor right on the underlayment.The main reasons to install laminate underlayment is to help your floated floor to float, even minor imperfections in the sub-floor and absorb sound when walking on the floor. • 3mm=1.8” thick and comes in 100 sq.ft rolls.
• This underlayment foam is good to install over wood subfloor.
• If you have cement sub-floor you should consider 2-in-1 Vapor underlayment.

• Corrects minor subfloor imperfections

Installation Instructions

After your subfloor is perfectly clean ( use vacuum cleaner ) and ready for installation , roll out the foam underlayment perpendicular to the direction of the laminate planks. 3mm =1/8” thick standard underlayment will even out minor imperfections in the sub-floor, absorb sound when walking on the floor and help cushion the floating floor.

Butt the edges of the underlayment together- be sure they don’t overlap- and secure rows with tape.
